THE MARGINS Literary gazette by Eugène Montfort 1st series: n° 1, November 1903-n° 6, February 1905; 2nd series: n° 7, May 1905-n° 12, April 1908 + n° hors-série, April 1906; then Tome 3: January 1909-May 1909. Paris, At the bookshop of Henri Floury. The 1st series is on Japon paper, bound in a general opening and includes an autograph letter signed by Eugène Montfort to Pierre Leguay. The 2nd series, on paper of edition, is well complete of the n° hors-série which is a political supplement (April 1906) : 4 p. devoted to the candidature of Tristan Bernard to the legislative elections in the XVIIth district (very rare). These two series represent the complete collection of the Marges, Eugène Montfort being the only editor. The Marges ceased to appear until January 1909. Volume 3 is on imitation Japan, stapled under general cover. Main contributors to this Volume 3 : Louise Lalanne [Guillaume Apollinaire], Jean-Marc Bernard, Pierre Camo, George Delaw, Marc Lafargue, Pierre Leguay, Louis Mandin, Eugène Montfort, Louis Rouart, Edmond Sée, Jean Viollis, Émile Vuillermoz. Joint: - Les Marges, complete edition, revised, corrected and increased with unpublished notes with an introduction by Pierre Leguay (it is in 1 vol. the reissue of the 1st and 2nd series of Les Marges, without the special issue of April 1906, stapled under a general cover, with a mailing from Eugène Montfort to Paul Reboux); - Les Marges, special issue (June 1937) devoted to Eugène Montfort; - The booklet : Études sur Eugène Montfort par Georges Le Cardonnel et Pierre Lievre (Bibliothèque des Marges, 1920); - 1 box for the dinner of Les Marges, May 1933; - 1 box for the dinner of Les Marges, May 1934; - 6 postcards addressed to Pierre Leguay (dated 1906).
