BATAILLE (Marion). Op-up. Silk-screened and cut in November 2006 at the Duplan workshop. [On behalf of the author]. (18 x 14 cm). (18) folding pop-ups: white cardboard plates, red title on the first one, author, print and signature on the second one, white corrugated cardboard slipcase, dotted title on one side. Artist's alphabet book created and shaped by Marion Bataille, born in 1963. She studied at the Beaux-arts de Paris and graduated from the École Supérieure des Arts Graphiques. She works as an illustrator since 1997. Rare first edition in serigraphy, published on behalf of the author, and limited to thirty copies. All the letters of the alphabet are realized, some on the same page, they appear following the opening of the book. White or black paper backgrounds, red or white letters, addition of layers or mirrors to achieve the desired letter. An innovative and artistic work that Marion Bataille has entirely made. Albin Michel will publish it in 2009 under the title ABC3D, this edition will know the greatest success. N° 18/30 numbered and signed by the artist. Extremely rare first edition, by an artist recognized worldwide. In new condition, in its original slipcase.
