General terms and conditions:

The sale will be made expressly in full.

No claim will be admissible as soon as the auction is pronounced, the successive exhibitions allowing the buyers to note the state of the objects presented.

The successful bidder will be the highest and last bidder and will be obliged to give his/her name and address. In the event of a dispute at the time of the auctions, i.e. if it is established that two or more bidders have simultaneously made an equivalent bid, either out loud or by sign, and simultaneously claim the item after the word "adjudicated" has been pronounced, the said item will immediately be put up for auction at the price proposed by the bidders and the whole public will be allowed to bid again.

The date indicated in square brackets [...] corresponds to the creation of the model. The piece presented having been made afterwards.

Any changes to the conditions of sale or to the descriptions in the catalogue will be announced verbally during the sale and noted in the minutes.

Catalogue : 20 € including VAT at 5.5% for copyright. The images are the exclusive property of ADER. Any reproduction or distribution requires written authorisation from the Auction House.

Sale and payment fees:

The successful bidder will have to pay, in addition to the amount of the bid, per lot, the following fees and taxes:

- 28% inc. tax (20% VAT) except for wine and books 25% inc. tax (5.5% VAT on books).

- 1.8% VAT (20% VAT) of the auction price for auctions via Drouot Live; 3.60% VAT (20% VAT) of the auction price for auctions via Interenchères or Invaluable.

- 5.5% additional costs for the temporary import tax, for lots whose number is preceded by an asterisk.

In certain cases, these costs may be reimbursed to the buyer.

Payment must be made immediately after the sale:

- in cash (euros) up to 1,000 for French nationals or up to 15,000 for foreign nationals (on presentation of proof of address, tax notice, etc.; in addition to the passport).

- by credit card (Visa, Mastercard).

- by "3D Secure” payment on the www.ader-paris.fr site

- by bank transfer in euros to the order of ADER.

Bank cheque (in euros) payable to ADER are not accepted.

Absentee bids:

A bidder who is unable to attend the auction must fill out the absentee bid form included in this catalogue and sign it.

ADER will act on behalf of the bidder, according to the instructions contained in the purchase order form, in order to try to buy the lot(s) at the lowest possible price and in no case exceeding the maximum amount indicated by the bidder.

The said form must be sent and received at the office no later than 24 hours before the start of the sale.

Absentee bids or telephone bids are a facility for customers. ADER is not responsible for failing to execute an order by mistake or for any other cause. Please check after sending that your purchase order has been duly registered.

ADER reserves the right not to register the purchase order if it is not complete or if it considers that the customer does not provide all the guarantees for the security of the transactions; without any possible recourse.

To guarantee the good will of the buyer, a deposit may be requested before the sale which will be validated only in the event of an auction.

Drouot Live and Interenchères being independent services, we decline any responsibility in case of malfunction. The additional cost related to purchases on the Internet is detailed on each of the sites and in our conditions of sale.

Transportation of lots/Exportation:

As soon as the auction is pronounced, the purchases are under the entire responsibility of the successful bidder.

No lot will be handed over to the buyers before payment in full of the sums due.

Small purchases will be transported to ADER, 3 rue Favart 75002 Paris, where they will be kept in deposit free of charge for 14 days.

The office is open from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm.

Larger purchases will be stored, at their conditions and cost, at the Hôtel Drouot warehouse, 6 bis rue Rossini 75009 Paris (Tel.: 01 48 00 20 18), where they can be collected on presentation of the paid slip.

Buyers wishing to export their purchases must make this known no later than the day of the sale. They will be able to recover the VAT on the purchase fees on condition that a valid customs document is given to ADER and that the name of the auction house is mentioned as the exporter. The auction slip is due in full; the VAT is subsequently refundable upon presentation of the bank account references.

The shipment of the purchased lots can be organised by ADER at the expense and under the responsibility of the buyer.

This is a service provided by ADER, which reserves the right to waive this service if the legal or practical conditions present the slightest risk. Deadlines are not guaranteed and depend on the activity of the auction house.

The cost of packing and shipping is the responsibility of the buyer; payment is to be made to ADER.

Buyers are invited to organise the transport of their purchases themselves if these conditions do not suit them.

The ADER study does not make the shipments of jewels, the buyers are invited to organize themselves the transport of their purchases.

Default of payment:

In the event of non-payment by the buyer of the totality of the sums due, within one month following the sale, and after a single reminder that has remained unsuccessful, ADER will start a collection procedure. The buyer will be registered in the centralized file of payment incidents of SYMEV (www.symev.org) and all the expenses will remain at his expense. From one month after the sale and at the request of the seller, the sale may be cancelled without any possible recourse.
