Nice artillery officer's sword. Handle covered with stingray with watermark. Gold brass frame. Guard known as the hunter's guard with three branches and two beautifully carved shuttle mumps . Beautiful curved blade with round back and counter-edged, engraved in half on one side with trophies of artillerymen's weapons, flaming grenade, foliage and on the base of the column "souvenir du Major d'Artillerie A" and oak leaves; on the other side canopy with crown, man in armour on column AJR, foliage and flowery urn. Sheath (knocks) in gilded iron sheet with two bracelets and two rings in a row. Iron stinger . Usual ECG. 1st Empire Period - Restoration . It should be noted that the imperial eagle has been properly erased from the blade of this sword.
