GUILLAUME MET DE PENNINGHEN (1912-1990 )Rare set of two ceramics consisting of a large pitcher-shaped vase with detached handle and a free-form shuttle bowl. Proofs in matt black glazed stoneware. Mid-1950s. Tiny glaze jump on the rim of the bowl. Both works signed with the monogram M d P, engraved under the base. H. of the vase: 56 cm - L. of the bowl: 24 cm Before founding in 1953 the famous school of decorative art bearing his name, Guillaume Met de Penninghen was a ceramist and left a few works, some of which were reproduced in several decoration magazines of the time. One of the rare monumental works known to the artist is preserved in the chapel of the Sainte-Ursule hospital in Périgueux.
