Havana calf, boards decorated with gold motifs and red morocco mosaics, partly set in compartmentalized recessed boxes, edged with gilt fillets, gilt MA monogram in the centre, spine ribbed, inside gilt spine, gilt and chased edges, lining and endpapers of parma-moire silk (early 20th century binding). Goff, B-1333. - Pellechet, 3109. - Hain, 4160. - BMC, VI, p. 779Important edition, the first complete edition of the Marian of the Italian preacher and theologian of the Franciscan order, Bernardino de Busti (1450?-1513 ?). It is a collection of 63 sermons that review the whole life of the Virgin and the divine mysteries in which she was involved. It is Busti's best known work, which met with great success and numerous editions. The first part, including the Officium conceptionis, appearing from folio a1recto to folio g5 verso, had already been printed by Ulric Scinzenzeler in Milan in May 1492. The Officium conceptionis alone was first printed around 1480 by Petrus de Cornena, also of Milan. A beautiful edition printed in Gothic letters, including numerous small compositions on wood, in the form of ornate letters and initials on a black background, as well as two small engravings repeated throughout the work, depicting the Virgin and Child Jesus and the Annunciation. A complete copy, preserved in a beautiful modern boxed binding, with the monogram M.A. of the Virgin Mary in the centre. On the first page there is an interesting note in Latin from the beginning of the 16th century, which can be translated as follows: "This book is for the use of Brother Peter of Fermo [Marche (Italy)] and it is used in the place of Saint Elpide [Porto Sant-Elpidio, province of Fermo in the Marche (Italy)] for almsgiving in the year of the L
