Stamped brown calf on wooden ais, dishes with identical decoration consisting of two frames made of scrolls for one and phylacteries with the name of Maria for the other, with thistle motifs in the centre inside, broths and umbilicus in chiselled and openworked brass, remains of the chiselled brass parts with human profile motifs of the first clasps, spines with nerves, smooth edges (contemporary binding). First and rare edition of the sixth part of the six issues of this Bible edited by the Alsatian humanist and poet Sebastian Brant (1457-1521 ). It is a glossy edition of the Bible, which includes the "gloses ordinaria", the "Expositiones" by Guillelmus Barbinus (14...-14...), the "Additions" by the Spanish bishop Paul de Santa Maria (1353?), the "Additiones" by the Spanish bishop Paul de Santa Maria (1353?) and the "Additiones" by the Spanish bishop Paul de Santa Maria (1354?).-1435), the "Replicationes" of the Franciscan and exegete Mathias Döring (1390-1469) as well as the "Postillae" and the "Moralia" of the French Franciscan Nicolas de Lyre (1270?-1340?). The edition was originally published in 6 volumes in 1498, printed in Basel by Johann Froben in association with Johannes Petri. This volume is the last of the series, printed in Gothic type. This copy is entirely rubbed in red; it comes from the monastery of Admont and includes two notes strictly of the period, apparently written by a certain brother Bartholomew.
