China Set of six porcelain plates with polychrome decoration of the enamels of the Rose family in the centre of the coat of arms of Holland and the monogram of the Dutch East India Company in a shield supported by two lions standing under a closed crown and surmounting the monogram VOC, the wing bearing the motto CONCORDIA RES PARVAE CRESCUNT. 1728, the rim decorated with a braid with a pink background hatched in gold. Yongzheng style, 20th century. D : 23,5 cm The decoration on these plates originates from a ducaton struck in 1728 and put into circulation the following year in Batavia, the braid on the edge imitating the crenellated edge of the coin.
