Silver teapot with its stand and stove, China for export, late 19th - early 20th centuryIn chased and embossed silver with chrysanthemum decoration. The handle, the lid and the spout in silver imitating gnarled wood branches. The silver support imitating branches allows it to tilt to serve tea. In the middle of the support is fixed a removable alcohol stove to keep the tea warm. It bears three hallmarks: two in Latin letters SHANGHAI CHONGHANG (maker's marks) and one in Chinese ideograms 生記 (ShengJi) (silver hallmark). The stove bears the CH mark and the Chinese hallmark.
