BOUTET (Henri). La Môme. Study illustrated with twelve etchings by the author. Paris : Librairie Georges Crès & Cie, [1913]. - In-8, 202 x 151 : 106 pp, (3 ff. last blank), 10 plates, illustrated cover. Half lavaliere morocco with corners, gilt filets, smooth spine decorated with mosaic foliage and flowers as well as gilt stars, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (Stroobants). First edition of only 500 numbered copies of this text by the artist of Vendée origin Henri Boutet (1851-1919). It is illustrated with 12 very beautiful original etchings by the author, including one on the cover, one on the title and 10 hors texte. One of the 15 copies on japon des manufactures impériales (n° 5), with three states of the illustrations, including two before the letter, on japon and on chine, as well as an original sketch on the false title, signed by the artist. A very nice copy bound by Stroobants. Light marks on the second plate. We join, from the same author : - BOUTET (Henri). Ces Dames !... Paris : imprimerie générale Lahure, [1912]. - In-8, 235 x 184 : 108 pp, (4 ff. last 2 blank), illustrated cover. Half dark brown morocco with corners, wide red morocco bands on the boards, smooth spine decorated with two small horizontal bands of red morocco, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (contemporary binding). First edition of this beautiful work on the world of gallant women, illustrated with 50 colour lithographs in the text, made by the author. Edition of 310 copies; one of 259 on Marais vellum (n° 156). Spotting and soiling of the covers. Without the flaps of the latter. - BOUTET (Henri). Filles de Joie et de Misère de Phryné à Margot. Paris : Librairie Lahure, 1913. - In-8, 235 x 186 : 124 pp, (2 ff. last blank), 27 plates, illustrated cover. Half dark brown morocco, smooth spine decorated with two small horizontal bands of red morocco, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (contemporary binding). First edition of this very beautiful book devoted to courtesans and gallantry; it is illustrated with 30 beautiful compositions in black and in colours by the author, reproduced by Léon Marotte, including two on the covers, one on the title and twenty-seven out of the text. Only 161 copies of the edition were printed; one of the 109 on vélin du Marais (n° 89) . Spine slightly faded. Scattered foxing in the body of the book, heavy foxing on the covers.
