CARCO (Francis). Some of them. Original etchings by Louis Legrand. Paris : Pro Amicis, 1931. - In-4, 285 x 230 : (6 ff. first 2 blanks), 114 pp, (5 ff. last blank), 13 plates, printed cover. In leaves, filled cover, publisher's flap folder and slipcase. Very sought-after first edition, printed in an edition of only 142 copies, illustrated with 46 original etchings by Louis LEGRAND (1863-1951), including 13 hors texte. One of 126 copies on Arches laid paper, this one being one of the 26 enriched with a suite of etchings on pelure laid paper (n° 14). Copy enriched with the following pieces : - Original watercolour in colours by Louis Legrand, representing two elegant women, dedicated to his close friend Eugène Rodriguez. - Original ink portrait of Francis Carco, unsigned, in the book format. - Portrait in photogravure of Francis Carco. - Self-portrait of the artist, engraved in etching, dedicated in the plate to Eugène Rodriguez. - Etching by Legrand representing La Toilette, taken from the Revue de l'Art ancien et moderne, with the captioned serpente. - Etching by Legrand captioned Sportmen. - Exhibition of Louis Legrand's works from the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. Paris : Gustave Pellet, 1904. - In-8, paperback. Catalogue of the exhibition of Legrand's works, which was held in Paris at the Galerie Georges Petit in 1904. Copy enriched with the superb invitation entirely engraved in etching by the artist for the inauguration of his first exhibition at the gallery Maison de l'Art Nouveau from April 2 to 15, 1896 . Some wear to the cover and to the case.
