An ormolu boar clock, the dial with Roman numerals (chips) decorated with foliage and supported by a porcelain flowering tree, resting on an openwork base decorated with foliage and flowers; (accidents and missing parts); (the movement signed Lloyd in London probably for John Lloyd of Aldgate). Louis XV period. H : 29 cm, W : 19 cm A number of boar clocks are listed, some attributed to the bronze smith Jean-Joseph de Saint-Germain (see H. Ottomeyer and P. Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, p. 123). One of them was sold in Cologne at Van Ham, 21 November 2009, lot 733.
