A rosewood, amaranth and light wood fillet chest of drawers opening to three drawers, the Sainte-Anne grey marble top resting on rounded uprights ending in cambered feet, gilt bronze ornamentation with leafy and openwork falls; with a small old handwritten label on the back inscribed: N° 99; (restorations). Stamped by Jean Henri Riesener, cabinetmaker received master in 1768. Louis XVI period. HEIGHT 97.5 cm, W : 69.5 cm, D : 46 cm A chest of drawers similar in size (wider) and veneer was delivered by Jean-Henri Riesener on January 14, 1779 for the apartments of Madame Elisabeth at the Palace of Versailles (Paris sale, Mathias, Baron-Ribeyre and Farrando studies, December 14 and 15, 2015, lot 162, then Paris Sotheby's sale, April 11, 2018, lot 213)
