A Parisian lacquered middle table in imitation of Japanese lacquer, with a draped belt opening to two drawers (operated by push-buttons), resting on columnar legs decorated with garlands of flowers joined by a curved brace. Louis XVI style, second half of the 19th century. H : 81 cm, W : 131,5 cm, D : 78,5 cm Provenance : European princely collection. This table is directly inspired by the famous Japanese lacquer table with a hard stone top by Martin Carlin, now in the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon (Portugal).
