Oval sewing set, in ivory, with the number "M" under Princess Margaret of Sweden's crown, containing a chisel, a thimble, a needle case, a punch, in silver and vermeil, (broken chisel, the awl is missing). 10 x 5 cm - Gross weight: 17.4 gB. E. Early 20th century . Biography : Princess Margaret of Connaught (1882-1920) was Crown Princess of Sweden and Duchess of Scania . She was the first wife of the future King Gustav VI Adolf. She was the eldest daughter of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught, third son of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, and his wife Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia. Known in Sweden as Margareta, she died before her husband's accession to the Swedish throne.
