Alain BANCQUART (born 1934). Autograph music manuscript, Rosace for string quartet, [1973]; 16 oblong leaves (pag. I-XVI) 32.5 x 44 cm. First string quartet of the composer, premiered on March 13, 1973 by the Trio à cordes de Paris with Serge Hurel on second violin, at the Maison de la Radio; it is dedicated to Saxon Poole. Duration of the work: 25 minutes. It begins Fugace - barely audible. The manuscript is carefully written in Indian ink on oblong tracing paper with 20 lines. It was used for the clichage, with the printed title mounted at the top of the first page. The score engraved on tracing paper for clichage, the ozalids, and a paperback copy of the edition (Jobert, 1974) are enclosed.
