Philippe BOESMANS (born 1936). Autograph musical manuscript, Upon a mi, [1970]; 31 leaves 34 x 27 cm (small marginal cuts for clichage). Boesmans' first work for voice, written for soprano, horn in F and ensemble with electronic amplification, premiered on March 8, 1971 in the Studio of the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, by Claude Lombard (voice), Hubert Biébaut (horn) and the ensemble Musique Nouvelle, conducted by Pierre Bartholomée, and recorded by the same (Musica Magna, 1973). It won the Prix Italia 1971. [WD19]. The work lasts 16 minutes and includes, in addition to the two soloists: flute, clarinet, 2 percussionists, harp, piano, 2 violins, viola and double bass, plus an electronic device. Incipit of the vocal part: " Brass, copper Horns are almost always made of brass "... The manuscript is carefully written in black pencil on 24-line tracing paper.
