Lysistrata, Maurice Donnay's first play, after Aristophanes, was successfully premiered at the Grand-Théâtre (salle de l'Eden-Théâtre) on December 22, 1892, with Réjane in the title role; it was revived at the Vaudeville on May 6, 1896, and then in various theaters.
