[RUSSIAN THEATRE]. Set of 5 programs of Russian shows from the 1920s and 1930s: - Russisch-Deutsches Theater Der blaue vogel. Berlin, 1921. - In-4 oblong, paperback. Rare and beautiful program of the first season of Yascha Yuschny's Russian-German troupe of the Blue Bird. It is illustrated with a full-page portrait of Yuschny, 28 black photographs and drawings in the text (actors, sets, staging, etc.), and 17 very beautiful colour compositions of sets and costumes, 13 of which are full-page, some of which are pasted on. Some foxing on the cover. - Théâtre Femina. Maria Kousnezoff and her company. Paris : Théâtre Femina, 1922. - In-4, stapled. Program for the troupe of the famous Russian singer and dancer Maria Kousnezoff (1880-1966), for their three-part show given in April and May 1922 at the Théâtre Femina. It is illustrated with four photographs by Albert Rudomine and five colour compositions, two of which are costumes after Léon Bakst (1866-1824) and three of which are sets after models by Sergueï Soudeïkine (1882-1946). A defaced copy. - Jushyn's theater. Der Blaue vogel. Berlin, 1926. - In-4, stapled. German program of Yascha Yushny's Blue Bird troupe. It is illustrated with a colour composition on the cover, after Bilibine, and 13 colour figures pasted in the text or on the full page, after drawings by Ourwantzoff, Jordan, Poschedajeff, etc. A very well preserved copy, enriched with a 3 leaf in-4 brochure in French, by the same company, printed in blue in 1927 . Beautiful program for the musical drama Boris Godunov after Pushkin and Karamzin, given by the Russian opera conducted by Zereteli and Wassily de Basil at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in 1931. It is illustrated with portraits of the various protagonists as well as 8 coloured compositions, based on the drawings of Ivan Balibin, author of the sets and costumes of the play. - Duke of York's Theatre.
