Jean-François, known as Francisque Millet (1642-1679) The Traveler. Etching. 162 x 132. Robert-Dumesnil 2. Beautiful proof on laid paper, slightly trimmed. Tear at the right edge, skillfully and formerly consolidated on the reverse. Small residue of glue at the right edge on the reverse. Rare. Ex-coll. Defer-Dumesnil (Lugt 739). Francisque Millet engraved only 3 plates in all. "... these small etchings, executed with a very free point, are of an extreme rarity.
