Maulnoir royal notary committed for the preparation of the aforementioned land register in the years 1781, 1782 and 1783 [followed by]. Book coeuilloir to be used for the collection of the cens, surçens, customs and seignerialles rents due to the siegneurie of Chavigny. The land of Chavigny, located northwest of Coulommiers, is an ancient seigneury of the Brie region. The Chavigny family was also lords of Vieux-Maisons. In the AD of Seine-et-Marne, under the number 248E373, we find "Declarations made to the land registry of the seigneury of Chavigny, before Master Maulnoir (Étienne François), notary in Coulommiers, in the custody of Sir Louis Antoine Pierre de Chavigny, esquire, lord of Chavigny, knight of the royal and military order of Saint Louis, former marshal of the loggias of the first company of the king's musketeers". (1781-1783). The comparison of these two documents would be interesting.
