Dimensions : 280 x 225 mmThis memoir was presented to the Emperor Napoleon who, in November 1804, discovered for the first time the castle of Rambouillet, registered in the civil list of the residences of the Crown since Louis XVI . Its geographical location, only fifty kilometers from Paris, its vast forest full of game and its beautiful gardens aroused the emperor's interest. This memorandum mentions the successive lords and also gives details of Napoleon's arrival in Rambouillet: "As soon as the Emperor had visited the estate and the forest in detail, he saw the benefits he could draw from it in terms of his pleasures and income...". The memoir reports on Napoleon's various projects for Rambouillet and follows various supporting documents until 1845.
