Japanese Tachi sword, shinto shinogi zukuri blade, itame hada, hamon notare-midare, ko kissaki, signed Geishû ju Fuiwara Hirotaka, Japan, second half of the 17th centuryKoshirae of the 19th century, en suite consisting of a patinated sentoku tsuka, decorated with chiseled scrolls. Menuki in the form of a dragon on a bamboo branch. The saya surrounded by a sentoku frame decorated with scrolls is made of nashiji lacquer and decorated with a takamakie mon of the sasarindô (gentian flower) type. This mon was first used by the prestigious Minamoto family, then by kuge (noble) families such as the Ishikawa in the 15th century, the Ayanokôji, the Fujiôji, the Horikawa etc... It can be found on several parts of the sword : the fuchi, the ashi kanamono. Total length : 105 cmNagasa : 70 cm Blade slightly pitted.
