EXAMPLE OF THE HISTORIAN JULES MICHELET, enriched with this sending on the false title: " To M Michelet // Devoted homage // Th. de Banville " Copy very well preserved, in spite of the faded spine and some scattered freckles . - POETRY. THE EXILES. LES PRINCESSES. Paris : Alphonse Lemerre, 1875. - In-16, blue half cloth, smooth spine, spotted edges (period binding). New edition, illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author. The collection ends with three texts by Théophile Gautier, Charles Baudelaire and Sainte-Beuve, introduced under the general title " Théodore de Banville poète lyrique ". Copy of the current edition, enriched on the false title with the autograph copy signed by Théodore de Banville of the last 6 lines of his poem "Le Saut du tremplin" from the "Odes funambulesques". Spine slightly browned.
