Second edition, after that of 1947, the first published by Gallimard, decorated with a frontispiece by André Rouveyre on strong paper. Copy of the press service enriched with this beautiful letter from the author to Paul Léautaud : " To Paul Léautaud, // with whom I fear to // not agree // on the charm of the // female modesty, // but finally this little // book will interest him // maybe all the same, and he will have // the frontispiece. // in memory of // old friendship // André Billy // It has been written for // ten years) " . Date of "Monday, March 3, 1952" affixed at the bottom of the dedication by another hand. Small ink stain on the first cover without gravity. - WRITTEN IN A DREAM. Paris : Société littéraire de France, 1920. - In-8, paperback, filled cover. First edition dedicated to the memory of Guillaume Apollinaire. It is decorated with 10 compositions by Jean-Émile LABOUREUR, including 5 full-page reproductions and 5 culs-de-lampe. Unique edition at 415 copies on Lafuma vellum (n° 120). Copy of Paul Léautaud, to whom Billy dedicated the second text of the collection, enriched with this mailing: "to Paul Léautaud, // who wrote the best // pages of this little book // affectionate homage // André Billy" The text dedicated to Léautaud includes handwritten corrections . Faded, browned and stained cover. Misses at the ends of the spine. Some scattered freckles.
