CÉARD (Henry). Une belle journée. Paris: G. Charpentier, 1881. - In-12, orange cloth with bradel, smooth spine decorated with a gilt fleuron, untrimmed (period binding). First edition of Henry Céard's most famous novel. EXAMPLE OF THE POET AND ROMANIAN ROBERT CAZE (1853-1886), including this letter from the author on the false title: "to my dear Robert Caze // his friend // Henri Céard " Attached at the head, pasted on the second white endpaper, is a postcard on which appears an autograph quatrain signed by the author, and at the end a newspaper clipping proposing an article by Gustave Geffroy on Henry Céard, as well as the number 382 of the magazine "Les Hommes d'aujourd'hui" devoted to the author . Some soiling to the binding.
