French school of the 19th century. Hussars... - Lot 14 - Ader
French school of the 19th century. Hussars of the Royal Guard, during a skirmish, around 1825. Oil on canvas. 85 x 130 cm Accidents and missing parts. Gilded frame decorated with laurel leaves. This beautiful composition allows to present the unit in campaign. On the left, hussars are firing their muskets, in the center the colonel (probably the Count of Vence) of the regiment is present with his staff. The banners of the giberne are covered with red morocco and the sabretache plates with silver. On the right, a trumpet is clearly recognizable, the monogram on the cast iron chaperones is the figure of King Charles X, indicating that the scene is between 1824 and 1830.
