Set of souvenirs of Father DOUSSOT (1830-1904), chaplain of the pontifical zouaves including : - a cross of Mentana. In nickel silver. Ribbon. 46 x 40 mm - a uniform pattern in black cloth overlaid with black thread on the edge, embroidered with the keys of St. Peter under papal tiara in canetille and gold thread, decorated on the bottom with a miniature of the cross of Mentana, in silver, with ribbon. 80 x 65 mm - a uniform pattern in black cloth embroidered with the keys of St. Peter under papal tiara in gold canetille, silver thread and canetille and red and blue cotton threads. 60 x 45 mm - a fragment of brown silk embroidered with the initials " J.A.D. " (Joseph Antonin Doussot) surmounting two painted coats of arms. 50 x 35 mm - a brown silk fragment decorated with a photograph of Father Doussot. 34 x 25 mm Attached is "Le sel et la terre", n° 114, autumn 2020, with a long biography of 45 pages on the life of Father Doussot. B.E. Biography: Born May 16, 1830 in Bar-sur-Seine (Aube), died March 17, 1904 in Vichenet (Belgium). Master of novices at the Roman convent of Sainte-Sabine (1860-1868), chaplain of the pontifical zouaves with whom he distinguished himself at Loigny, theologian at the Vatican I Council (1870), master of novices at Mazères (1871-1872), chaplain of the monastery of Prouilhe (1881). Charrette defines him as one of the purest glories of the regiment.
