TOULOUSE 1769 Plain silver covered ecuelle and its skin cover marked in ink: "écuelle à oreilles" and stamped with a coat of arms on a monogram. The ears with contours of rocaille inspiration, the lid with double doucine is topped by a catch representing a pomegranate on a terrace of radiating godrons in the shape of star. Master goldsmith: I. GAILHARD, received in 1747 Weight: 934 g - length to the handles: 29,5 cm Condition: the reverse side of the ears not punched reloaded Bibliography: in the work of Mr. Jean THUILE, the letter O of the common house would stop in 1768. This object would prove that this letter lasts until 1769.
