PARIS 1838 - 1853Silver ewer of orientalist form resting on a poly-lobed foot with ribs extending on the body and the hinged lid. On the body, on both sides, are applied medallions of grapevines (not engraved). The handle is enhanced by a bird with wings spread out pecking grapes as a reminder on the hinged lid on which two birds are frolicking on a terrace of leaves and grapes. Goldsmith : François-Désiré FROMENT, registered in 1833, crossed out in 1853 - in all letters : FROMENT-MEURICEGross weight : 506 g (ivory rings) - height : 24,4 cmCondition : small shock on a ribFROMENT-MEURICE made many examples of this model .
