[ PLOSSU, BERNARD (1945) [Signed] Planches Contact, 2020. Portfolio, limited to 30 copies, composed of 5 inkjet prints on Arches 400gr paper, signed on the back in graph ite. "Always between two journeys, the beginning of the 70's was also a moment of comical desire to use photography as a prank language! This was "surbanalism" (published), and "the trip to absurdity" (not published, abandoned). But among the possible materials for this reflection in homage to Chaval and other Cosinus, there was also the contact sheet, that is to say the whole film telling a possible story! It was the Arc de Triomphe that goes for a little ride, or what the camera sees when the photographer does not put it in front of his chest, or slung on the side ... It was the workshop in delirium: just a few jokes with no pretention other than to have fun... At that time, I had unfortunately a 24 mm wide angle on the Nikkormat... Later, I destroyed the images made with this lens which was not objective, too distorting... But not these few photographic snippets made between 2 distant trips, while returning to France and wondering "what is photography"? - Bernard Plossu
