Lucien REBATET (1903-1972). L.A.S. "LR",... - Lot 194 - Ader
Lucien REBATET (1903-1972). L.A.S. "LR", Thursday, May 15 [1952 ?]; 1 page and a quarter in-4. Before his next release from prison. Now that he has "a future again, the publication of my elephant [Les Deux Étendards?] has returned to the forefront of my concerns. But he wants "to make some more corrections in detail to various parts of the book. I had designated two of my friends, including Marcel Aymé, to take on this task, in case of posthumous publication. Being still alive, he wants to take on this task. He invites his correspondent to contact his wife at Mrs. Rovinsky's, and his lawyer Me Bacqué de Sariac... Three books in first edition are attached, bound, with autographs sent to Lucien Rebatet: Marcel Aymé, La Tête des autres (Grasset, 1952), on Alfa (num. S.P. 186): "to Véronique and Lucien Rebatet with my best regards Marcel Aymé"; Marcel Jouhandeau, Théâtre sans spectacle (Grasset, 1957), on Alfa (num. S.P. 173): "Dear Rebattet, hello and to Véronique Marcel Jouhandeau"; Charles Maurras, Devant l'Allemagne éternelle (À l'Étoile, 1937): "To Lucien Rebatet his friend, Ch. Maurras".
