PARIS CIRCA 1775 Soup tureen of oval form out of plated silver to 1/6e. Of oval form, it rests on four feet with scrolls with attachments of acanthus leaves. The handles, molded with nets, are enhanced in the middle part of laurels framing a band. The mobile lid with doucine is finished by a pine cone on a terrace of turning leaves. Attributed to Jean-Baptiste de GOURNAY, " royal manufacture of copper platerie doubled of silver ", installed street Popincourt from 1768. We attribute this object to GOURNAY because contrary to HUGUET (received master in 1745), GOURNAY did not affix a punch of manufacturer but only that of the title as imposed by the regulation Length : 35,5 cm - width : 21 cm - height : 25 cm Condition : All the elements are riveted, original plating in excellent condition, very slight little missing inside, some slight little shocks.
