JEAN DUNAND (1877-1942) The model designed around [1912/14] Spectacular vase in stretched shell; the annular neck in wide overflow and finished hemmed. Proof in nickel silverware entirely hammered and black patinated. The surface finished in a very fine and light hammering. The bottom weighted with lead inside. Work of the years 1910-20. Signed twice with the stamp of the artist and bears the number 4118 on the reverse. Height : 53,5 cm Provenance: - Important 20th century decorative art & Design - Christie's sale, New York, December 16, 2008.
