Two vases with Ottoman decoration, Tunisia, Nabeul, De Verclos workshop, 1920-50 In earthenware with painted decoration. The first, vase hadj with curved body surmounted by a cylindrical neck flanked by two broad handles in wings. Decorated with mandorles housing floral bouquets framed by two friezes of fleurons in medallions, the neck and handles streaked with colored bands. The second, a ball vase with a globular body finished with a hemmed neck and flanked by two handles with intermediate bridge. Decorated with a frieze of poly-lobed mandorles decorated with a floral composition on the body with a brown striped background, a frieze of flowers in bud on the neck and a frieze of ocelli on each of the handles. Both signed in Arabic: "De Verclos, Qallal al-Qadim, Nabeul" at the base of the body of the first "De Verclos Nabeul" under the base of the second, and inscription in French under the base of the first "TUNISIE".
