Foreign medals awarded during the campaigns of the Second Empire ITALY SARDINIA MEDAL OF MILITARY VALOR (1793). Medal of military valor for the Italian War (1859). In silver, with transverse ring, signed " F.G. ". Reverse side attributed " ROULAND L.P.T. CAPTAIN 61st LINE " Ribbon. 31 mm - Net weight : 17 gT .T.B . History : Louis Pierre Théodore ROULAND (1821-1884), officer of the Legion of Honor (1871) . He had our medal on March 14, 1860. He was also holder of the medal of the Italian campaign and of the Crimea medal. He made his whole career in the 61st line, which he joined as a private (1842) and which he left as a captain around 1870.
