VATICAN ORDER OF PIE IX (1847) Authorization to wear the order of Pius IX for the captain of the engineering (and future general) Augustin Pierre de Bussy (1823-1895). Done in Paris on May 14, 1867. With painted decoration. Framed under glass (wear and stains). Enclosed is a letter of transmittal of the vermeil medal of the Order of the Oak Crown of Luxembourg (1927). Framed under glass. History: Chief of the engineering corps in Port Vendres, then in the expeditionary corps in Rome (1867), de Bussy participated in the defense of Paris (Châtillon, Champigny) and in the repression of the Commune (Clamart, Meudon, Issy): he was cited. Colonel (1877), he was second in command of the Fontainebleau School, then second in command of the Polytechnic School, then the 1st Engineer Regiment.
