Chips around the heel, a firing crack around the edge of the lid. Not signed. Height : 36 cm - Length : 36 cmProvenance : Lerat Collection. To note : This work is referenced under the n° 1243 in the Lerat archives. [Clay extracted at the place called "Trous à terre" in Morogues. It reflects the search for modern forms begun in the late 1940s. It is one of the ceramics fired in one of the wood kilns of the Sèvres factory in 2012. From the time of her marriage, Jacqueline Lerat and Jean created a stoneware table service for everyday use. After the war, the usual ceramics of La Borne consisted only of bowls and pitchers; for the most part of good workmanship and often glazed with ash. After 1946, Jean and Jacqueline made plates and soup bowls fired in the lids of the Bedu kiln. They were used until 2010 by the family]. F.L.
