[CASTLE OF LA MUETTE] Jules de MARTHOLD (1847-1927). Autograph poem signed "J.M.", 1782; 1 page small in-4. Sonnet on the festivities celebrating the birth of the Dauphin, and the stay of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette at the Muette. [Louis-Joseph de France was born on October 22, 1781 (he died on June 4, 1789). From January 21, 1782, for three days, great celebrations and ceremonies were organized by the City of Paris to celebrate this birth; on this occasion, the royal couple resided at the Château de la Muette].
