(secretary), countersigned by Henri-Auguste de Loménie (1595-1666, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs), Paris November 25, 1662, to a Prince of the Holy Roman Empire; 1 page folio, address (name crossed out, small cracks repaired). On the birth of his daughter Anne-Elisabeth of France [on November 18; she died on the following December 30]. He announces the happy birth of the Queen and the birth of a daughter: "although I would have rather wished for the maintenance of my state that it had been a son, I do not let it be received as a very great grace in the hope that I have that it will be for me some day a means of acquiring new friends to this crown or of confirming the antiens"...
