"No one is more at ease than I am with the little improvement that Mr. your son has achieved. I confess that I postponed replying to you until this morning for fear that it would not be followed up, but the seven o'clock bulletin seems to allow me to do so. C. de Noailles had instructed me to the point of gesture. [Louis XV was worried about the health of the prince of Lamballe (1747-1768), son of Penthièvre, who died on May 6, 1768, leaving his young wife, Marie-Thérèse de Savoie-Carignan, Marie-Antoinette's friend, a widow]. Attached is a P.S. (secretary), Paris June 10, 1791, concerning a military pension; countersigned by the marquis de Sombreuil.
