JACOBI (Michéa). - Lot 200
JACOBI (Michéa). ABC Branly. Completed on 19.XI.2018 in Marseille. Leporello (20,3 x 20 cm, folded) of (14) flaps with colored acrylic paint and collages, recto-verso, enclosed in a bag from the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac with the title in collages and acrylic painting, on one side. Primitive alphabet by the artist from Marseille Michéa Jacobi, born in 1955 in Arles. After a visit to the Musée des Arts Premiers, he recovers paper bags, bearing the name of the museum on a vertical yellow band in the margin, keeps the gussets, cuts the handles of black string and applies them in the shape of the twenty-six letters on his paintings, with deep matter, appearing as primitive masks - in his own way. In his thick gouaches he uses the basic colors of the bags, adding luminosity in his fuchsia, yellow, orange and blue. Double plate for the N and completed to realize, with the same matter on yellow bottom of gold, where he invites the reader to take again the course of the leporello. Unique alphabet of artist.
