The short-lived magazine Perhinderion, founded by Alfred Jarry and published twice in March and June 1896, juxtaposes reproductions of woodcut subjects by Dürer and reproductions of Georgin's woodcuts of popular imagery, originally published by Pellerin in Épinal. La Passion, a hand-enhanced color composition by Émile Bernard, is the only contemporary image in the publication. Jarry announced that the 2nd issue would contain both La Passion and Bernard's L'Annonciation - but Morane has never come across a copy that includes the latter plate, which he assumes was not completed on time, and therefore finished later, since it is dated 1899.
