Roderic O'Conor (Irish, 1860-1940) Two Bathers. Circa 1890-1895. Etching, roulette and drypoint. 135 x 140. Johnston not described. A fine proof, probably a trial print, printed with ground tint on strong ivory laid paper. Marginal oxidation at the edge of the passe-partout. Some light foxing. Annotation in pencil along bottom center edge: "7 février 1/29 procès-verbal Bellier Cailac n° 15 Vente O'Conor 7 février 1956". Full margins. Workshop stamp (Lugt 3911). Stamp R. T. (front and back). This print was included in the Bibliothèque Nationale exhibition, Gauguin et l'école de Pont-Aven, 1989, and is reproduced in the catalog under no. 145.
