Beautiful edition produced under the direction of André Malraux, illustrated with 7 original etchings by illustrator Géo A. Drains, including a color frontispiece and 6 hors-texts.
There are also 3 illustrations in red and black by the same illustrator, one framing the text on all even-numbered pages, another for the odd-numbered pages and a third on a double page for the false titles.
Edition of 1,040 numbered copies, this being one of 50 on japon with a suite of hors-texts. Contrary to what is indicated in the justification, the suite is on japon and not on chine.
A very fine copy, entirely mounted on mitre, bound by Nathalie Berjon in 2014.
A very well preserved copy.
