First edition of this diary covering the last years of Paul Morand's life, from June 1968 to April 1976, originally written in 32 handwritten notebooks. "According to the author's wishes, their contents were not to be consulted or published until the year 2000. His intention was to protect them from the indiscretions and comments of his contemporaries" (Publisher's disclaimer). One of 69 numbered copies on vellum pur fil from Malmenayde paper mills, the only large paper edition. A perfectly preserved copy, almost entirely uncut.
