Statuette of a young woman in polychrome ivory, China, 18th century The woman stands with one hand elegantly resting on her hip and the other extended forward. She is wearing an ample coat with a collar incised with a peony motif, over which is superimposed a skirt belted at the front by a bow. Her face is serene, and her black lacquered hair is pulled up into a bun with a blue-tinted textile tied above the forehead and a red-tinted hairpin. She wears green glass earrings.
