Pair of pewter candlesticks, China, 19th century The shafts are decorated with a shou sign, resting on a terrace with small openwork balustrades featuring deer and bird motifs in foliage. Below, a pedestal with openwork decoration of flowers, dragons, bats and phoenixes, terminating in four feet with mythical animal heads and clawed paws resting on a ball. The whole on a small pedestal with short legs. The wicks are rectangular. Height: 35 cm
