Mitsouko MORI (born 1944) Composition, 1997 Acrylic on canvas. Signed and dated on the back. 18 x 14 cm Provenance : Galerie Claude Dorval, Paris. Born in Ashikaga (Tochigi Prefecture), a graduate of the Tokyo Fine Arts School and strongly influenced by the Bauhaus, Mitsouko Mori uses primary colors, without nuances or gradations. "Movement, rupture and tension are combined here with rigor, modesty and meditation. On reflection, I wonder if Mitsouko Mori isn't giving us, like a subtle haiku, a few answers to the anxieties hovering over our times...".
