Henri PROSI (1936-2010) - Lot 110
Henri PROSI (1936-2010) Formes triples 443, 1997 Acrylic on canvas mounted on panel. Signed, dated and titled on the back. 30 x 30 cm Provenance : Espace 061 Art Contemporain, Rouen. "Henri Prosi's works are based on the horizontal and vertical, the line and the right angle, and the simple shapes of the rectangle and the square. This minimal plastic vocabulary is matched by a subtle style in which any pictorial effect is strictly banished in favor of the sole quest for rhythm and balance". (Domitille d'Orgeval, Henri Prosi, Structures, Figures, Contours, Sonia O Art-chives, 2009)
